Rubber Base is a creamy base gel you apply as the first layer, under gel polish or sculpting material. It strengthens the nails and is soak-off. You use builder gel to sculpt extensions and to strengthen the natural nail with a harder material than rubber base. Toffee Builder Gel and BIAB Liquid Extension are not soak-off.
When you apply gel polish directly on the natural nail. Rubber Base comes in several shades, from True White to Taffy Nude. If the nail needs more stability, choose Fiber Boost Clear, with micro-reinforcing fibres that spread pressure and help prevent cracks. If the nail tends to lift, choose Prime & Perfect Base.
When you sculpt extensions or want to strengthen the natural nail with a harder material. Toffee Builder Gel is a hard, self-levelling gel with medium viscosity for extensions on forms, dual forms or tips. BIAB Liquid Extension is a gel in a bottle for overlays, refills and extensions, long nails included. It is more fluid, so if you want more stability during application, choose Toffee.
Yes. Apply a thin coat of base gel, for example Prime & Perfect Base, and cure for 60 seconds before you build the nail. Do not remove the sticky layer.
Yes. Rubber base gives a flexible bond that follows the natural nail, and you can adjust the tip before you flash cure it in the Freeze Frame LED lamp. Then continue with gel or acrygel. Read the full step-by-step guide on our nail blog (in Swedish).
