Reni & Erik Mobrandt

Reni and Erik worked many years together at sea. In 1999, Reni decided to pursue her dream and trained as a Nail Technician. A salon was opened, and the joy grew from there. In 2003, they launched a training center and distribution in partnership with NSI – Nail Systems International in Philadelphia. They developed everything from scratch – education plans, manuals, and marketing, which was quite different at that time.

In 2008, Erik came ashore and joined full-time. Together they traveled the world and expanded the product range: brushes, eco-friendly files, e-files, UV lamps, tools – and in 2019, they began developing their own brand to complement NSI. The brand was registered and certified, and with a team of nail technicians – including key input from Susanna – they created products truly made “By Nail Techs – For Nail Techs.”

Reni and Erik have also been key figures in the Swedish nail industry. They helped found SEYF and SANSA – Reni wrote both associations’ statutes. They created Nordic Nail Open, the largest nail competition in the Nordics, and CosmoNord, one of Sweden’s largest beauty expos. Reni also co-developed the Nail Technician Journeyman Certificate (Gesällbrev) and holds both the Journeyman and Master title.

Reni and Erik reflect: “We’ve met amazing nail techs, educators and suppliers from around the world. It’s been an incredible journey. Now, with Susanna taking over Nail Systems, we feel confident – we built the foundation, and she brings the future.”
